Are you overwhelmed with the demands of life? Are your high expectations of yourself and others leading to feelings of anxiety, disappointment, or burnout? Your life may be busier than you ever thought was possible. Perhaps it feels hard to keep up with all your responsibilities, or your stress is creating relational problems with your significant other, friends, or family. You feel like you’re not showing up in your relationships or your work the way you want, but you’re unsure how to begin the repair. You’re not alone!

Your life is a juggling act of everything that is important to you. You might feel like your life is flying past you and you are spectating the chaos. Being in your 20s and 30s, in a city where comparison runs rampant, is hard. You’re managing transitions, relationships, family, and decisions, and the weight of it all can feel burdensome - especially without healthy habits and boundaries.

I understand! I work with women and men who are feeling overwhelmed and want to reconnect with themselves, and couples who want to connect with each other.   I seek to foster an environment where rest and peace don’t feel so distant. I desire to help you, or you and your partner, discover how you got to where you are through processing past hurts and looking at habits that are no longer useful. Together we will journey to find healing of your past, create patterns for lasting change, and instill hope for whatever is ahead.

When so much is unknown, you are free to just breathe. You are free to have peace without having answers for everything.
— Morgan Harper Nichols

My desire and passion for helping others drives my work. It was in high school where began to recognize my love for people and my desire to care for them during life’s tough seasons. At this time, there were two older women in my life who were training to be counselors, and I was drawn to their intentionality and care for me. During this time of transition and change in my teen years, I felt valuable and nurtured by them, and I wanted to provide this to others. I began fostering this in college, where I had the opportunity to lead other women and the experience further solidified my joy in listening to and helping others. Not only did I encounter the opportunity walk alongside other women through the struggles they were facing, but I was also encouraged and changed! It was clear to me that pursuing professional counseling was how I wanted to invest my life so I could help others every day.

I obtained my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Missouri State University where I also studied Sociology and Religious Studies. I am currently working on my Master’s in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary, where I have developed areas of interest in anxiety, depression, disordered eating, spiritual issues, couples counseling, marital enrichment, and life transition. Additionally, I enjoy working with clients struggling with perfectionism, stress, relationship issues, and I am trained as a Prepare/Enrich Premarital and Marriage Assessment Facilitator.

I consider it a privilege to create a warm and safe relationship where clients can trust me with the things they are going through. Vulnerability can be scary, but in the context of a secure relationship, healing and change can bring freedom and authenticity. It is my joy to provide this experience to my clients.

I am a Christian counselor; however, I welcome individuals from all faiths, belief systems, and walks of life. I work hard to create an environment where you feel valued, known, and accepted. No matter what you are walking through or where you come from, I strive to create a safe space to process life’s struggles and initiate long-lasting change.

If you are ready to begin your journey to healing, change, and freedom, contact me today. You are not in this alone; I am ready to help.
