Depression
Do you feel like you are seeing the world through gray-colored glasses? Does it seem like your regular routine is requiring a tremendous amount of energy that you just don’t have? Are you struggling to find joy in the things that used to bring you happiness? If this describes your experience, we can help.
Depression is different from sadness. Sadness is a normal reaction to life’s setbacks and disappointments and usually passes after a short amount of time. Depression, on the other hand, is characterized by feelings of numbness and persistent hopelessness that can result in changes in your daily routine and the way you see the world. Things might seem to take more effort than they used to, your sleep habits and appetite may have changed, interacting with others may feel laborious, and you may feel disillusioned about what life holds for you.
Depression is a painful experience but you do not have to face it alone. At Known Counseling, we are here to help you gain perspective about what you have experienced, establish a healthy feeling of hope, and feel like yourself again.
