You may find yourself feeling disconnected or overwhelmed by negative, worrisome thoughts, unsure of why you're feeling this way. On the outside, it might seem like you have everything under control, yet internally, life can feel chaotic or even lonely. You might struggle to express your needs, fearing rejection or damaging relationships. It can be exhausting, carrying the weight of guilt and anxiety that prevents you from truly being heard or feeling worthy. You long for deeper, healthier connections but fear what could go wrong. You might even wonder if your past is influencing how you feel today—and if change is still possible. If any of this resonates with you, you're in the right place.
Navigating adulthood can feel daunting, and it’s common to feel as though no one truly understands what you're going through. As we go through life, we are constantly learning about ourselves, discovering what we truly want, and striving to build healthy connections with others. However, when the past continues to influence the present, it can make moving forward feel even more challenging. But there is hope: meaningful change is not only possible, but within reach.
I hear you, and I’m honored to support and guide you on your journey toward self-awareness and healing. My hope is to empower you to regain control of your life and create a healthier, more fulfilling future. With the right support, you can overcome obstacles and move forward with confidence. I work with motivated, curious individuals like you to help process the emotions and challenges that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we’ll address the pain and difficulties you’re facing, deepen your self-awareness, and develop the tools you need to manage life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
“What is necessary to change a person is to change his awareness of himself”
My passion for understanding others started at a young age, guiding me toward the helping profession. I've always been intrigued by how individuals, even in similar circumstances, can have vastly different reactions, emotions, and perspectives. This curiosity drives my work with those who are unsure where to begin. I deeply value the uniqueness of each person and strive to create a warm, welcoming space where individuals feel safe to be themselves.
I hold a Master of Science in Counseling, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Applied Physiology and Sport Management from Southern Methodist University. I have diverse experience across multiple levels of care. Prior to graduate school, I worked at the Eating Recovery Center, a specialized treatment facility for individuals with eating disorders. There, I supported patients across the residential, inpatient, part-time, and outpatient levels of care. During my internship at Homeward Bound Inc., I contributed to an intensive outpatient program for adults struggling with addiction, while also gaining experience with Child Protective Services and probation. In my experience, I have developed a specialized focus supporting both young and older women, men, and couples dealing with anxiety, attachment issues, relationship struggles, life transitions, boundary-setting, enmeshment, codependency, self-esteem challenges, and confidence building.
Through my own personal experiences, I’ve come to understand the immense value of the therapy process, and I am deeply passionate about offering the gift of healing and self-discovery to my clients. As a therapist, I bring compassion and empathy to each client’s unique story, honoring the individuality of your experiences. It is a privilege to sit with you as you bravely share your life with me, and together, we’ll navigate your pain toward greater confidence and acceptance. I believe everyone deserves to be heard. Life is finite, and I am committed to helping you make the most of it!
